Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

Overview

SuperUPI is presently in a beta/testing phase, made available to a limited group of users for evaluation purposes ahead of a full public launch.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how it is used and protected, and the rights available to you under Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").

By using SuperUPI — whether as a creator (Streamer) or a supporter (Donor) — you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Who This Applies To

  • Streamers: individuals who create a SuperUPI account to receive donations.
  • Donors: individuals who send a donation via a Streamer's SuperUPI link. Donors are not required to create an account.

2. What We Collect

From Streamers, at signup and onboarding: name, email address, and profile picture (via your chosen sign-in provider); phone number; streaming platform name and channel/profile URL; payout details (UPI ID, or bank account number, IFSC code, and account holder name); any avatar or background image you choose to upload; and page customization settings.

From Donors, at the time of a donation: name or display name you choose to enter (may be anonymous); an optional message; an optional email address (used solely to send a payment confirmation). Payment is processed directly by our authorized third-party payment processor — we do not directly collect or store your card, UPI PIN, or full payment credentials.

Automatically: basic technical data such as browser type and device information, for the purpose of keeping the service functioning correctly.

3. Why We Collect It

  • To create and operate your Streamer account.
  • To process donations and route the correct amount to the correct Streamer.
  • To calculate and execute payouts to Streamers, net of applicable fees.
  • To trigger real-time on-stream alerts and widgets (donation popups, goal bars, leaderboards).
  • To manually verify Streamer identity before granting full platform access.
  • To send transactional emails: donor receipts and Streamer account/status notifications.
  • To respond to support or grievance requests.
  • We do not use your personal data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal data to any third party.

4. Consent

By creating a Streamer account, or by voluntarily providing your name, message, or email when sending a donation, you consent to our collecting and using that information for the specific purposes described in this Policy. You may withdraw consent for any optional use at any time by contacting superupi.app@gmail.com.

5. Disclosure

Beyond the service providers listed in Section 7, we will only disclose your personal data if required to do so by law, by a valid legal or regulatory request, or where necessary to investigate a suspected violation of our Terms and Conditions.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies/session tokens solely to keep you signed in and to maintain your session while using SuperUPI. These are not used for advertising or to track you across other websites.

7. Who We Share Data With

  • Payment processing partners — to process donations and route payouts to Streamers bank/UPI accounts.
  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers — for our database, account authentication, and file storage.
  • Sign-in providers — the third-party sign-in provider you choose to use for account access; we receive only your name, email, and profile picture.
  • Email delivery providers — for sending transactional emails.
  • We do not share your data with any party beyond what is required to operate the above functions.

8. Data Retention

We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active, and thereafter for as long as reasonably necessary to comply with tax, accounting, and payment-dispute recordkeeping requirements. You may request deletion of your account data at any time; note that certain transaction records may need to be retained where required by applicable financial regulations.

9. Data Security

We apply reasonable technical safeguards, including database-level access controls (Row Level Security) that restrict who can read sensitive information such as payout details, and encrypted connections for all data in transit.

10. Your Rights

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to retention requirements.
  • Withdraw consent for processing, where consent is the basis for that processing.
  • To exercise any of these rights, contact us at superupi.app@gmail.com.

11. Children's Privacy

SuperUPI is not directed at, and may not be used by, individuals under the age of 18.

12. Beta Phase Notice

SuperUPI is currently in active development and limited beta testing. Features, data handling practices, and this Policy itself may change as the platform develops toward general availability. We will update this page and revise the Last updated date whenever material changes are made.

13. Grievance Officer / Contact
